What a non-surgical facelift is

A non-surgical (or 'liquid') facelift is not a single product. It is a planned combination of treatments, each addressing one part of facial ageing: lost volume, muscle-driven lines and declining skin quality. Together they create a fresher, lifted look. It does not replicate surgery, but for many people it is a meaningful, natural refresh.

The building blocks

Planned in stages

A full-face plan is usually spread over several appointments rather than done in one sitting. That way each step can settle and the result stays natural. Dr. Bahar maps the face at the first consultation, explains the order of treatment, and reviews progress at each visit.

Who it suits

It suits people noticing early to moderate signs of ageing (volume loss, early jowling, tired eyes, duller skin) who want improvement without surgery. Significant skin laxity may be better addressed surgically, and Dr. Bahar will say so honestly.

Side effects, risks and suitability

Common and usually short-lived

Each step brings the short-lived effects of its own treatment — swelling and bruising after filler, small bumps after skin treatments, tenderness at Botox points. Staging the plan keeps each recovery short.

Less common but important

The important risks are those of the individual treatments: rare vascular complications with filler, nodules with Sculptra, temporary brow or eyelid heaviness with Botox. Each is explained on its own treatment page and at your consultation.

When it may not be suitable

Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infection, and significant skin laxity that is better treated surgically. Some medical conditions and medicines need discussion before each step.

Your consultation covers your medical history, medicines and allergies, so Dr Bahar can advise whether a treatment is right for you.

Downtime and aftercare

Aftercare follows each treatment: usually 24–48 hours without intense exercise, heat or massaging treated areas, and planning events around the few days of swelling that filler can bring.

Frequently asked questions

What is a liquid facelift?

A combination of injectable treatments, typically filler, Botox and skin treatments, planned together to restore support and refresh the face without surgery.

How long does a non-surgical facelift last?

Each component lasts a different time. Botox lasts a few months, hyaluronic filler around a year or more, and Sculptra often longer. Maintenance keeps the result consistent.

Is a non-surgical facelift as good as surgery?

It is different. It can give a natural, meaningful refresh with minimal downtime, but it does not remove excess skin the way surgery can.

Is it done in one appointment?

Usually not. Treatments are typically staged over several visits so each can settle and the overall result stays natural.
