Under Eye Treatment in Dubai
Hollows, dark circles and crepey under-eye skin have different causes, so they need different treatments. Each plan starts with finding out which you have.
Why tired-looking eyes need a diagnosis first
A tired under-eye area can come from volume loss in the tear trough, thin or crepey skin, pigmentation, or visible blood vessels, and often from more than one at once. Filler helps hollows but does little for thin skin, and a booster improves skin quality but cannot replace lost volume. Dr. Bahar assesses the area in different light and angles before recommending anything, and some patients are better served by skin treatment alone.
Under-eye treatment options
- Under-eye (tear trough) fillerA soft hyaluronic acid filler placed carefully to soften hollowing and the shadow it casts.
- Under-eye boosterA skin booster made for the delicate periorbital skin. Hydrates, brightens and reduces crepiness.
- Under-eye Salmon DNA (PDRN)Regenerative treatment aimed at thin under-eye skin and its quality and elasticity. More on PDRN.
- Under-eye mesotherapyMicro-injections of vitamins and peptides to support skin quality around the eyes.
Tear trough filler: a precise treatment
The under-eye area is one of the most technical places to treat with filler. The skin is thin, so product choice, depth and quantity matter more than anywhere else. Dr. Bahar uses small, conservative amounts and treats the cheek first when midface volume loss is what is really deepening the tear trough. See cheek filler and all dermal filler options.
Appointment, downtime and results
Treatments take place in a short clinic visit. Mild swelling or bruising can follow filler and usually settles within days. Boosters and PDRN are usually given as a short course of sessions a few weeks apart, with skin quality improving gradually. Dr. Bahar explains aftercare at your appointment and reviews the result afterwards.
Side effects, risks and suitability
Common and usually short-lived
Swelling and bruising are more common under the eyes than elsewhere and can take a little longer to settle; tenderness and small bumps after boosters usually pass within a day or two.
Less common but important
Filler placed in this thin area can cause lumps, prolonged puffiness or a bluish tint if it sits too superficially, which is why small amounts and careful technique matter. Vascular occlusion is rare but serious — seek help immediately for increasing pain, skin colour change or any change in vision.
When it may not be suitable
Marked eye bags, fluid-related puffiness or very lax skin often respond poorly to filler. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection, or a previous filler reaction are also reasons not to treat; a skin-quality treatment may be the better option.
Your consultation covers your medical history, medicines and allergies, so Dr Bahar can advise whether a treatment is right for you.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best treatment for dark circles?
It depends on the cause. Hollowing often responds to tear trough filler, thin or crepey skin to boosters or PDRN, and pigmentation needs a different approach. Dr. Bahar assesses the cause before recommending treatment.
Is under-eye filler suitable for everyone?
No. Some under-eye concerns, such as puffiness or very thin skin, are not well suited to filler. In those cases Dr. Bahar may recommend a skin treatment instead, or treating the cheek first.
How long does tear trough filler last?
Hyaluronic acid filler under the eyes commonly lasts many months and often around a year, depending on the product and your metabolism.
Is there downtime after under-eye treatment?
Usually minimal. Some swelling or bruising can occur after filler and generally settles within days. Most people return to normal activity the same day.
